Artemis Black was born on October 23, 1981 to Marlene McKinnon and Sirius Black. She is the younger sister to Aries Black.

Her family took the last name Bellisario when they went into hiding during the first wizarding war.

Biography

Early Life

Artemis had both of her parents during the first year and a half of her life. She was a happy little baby, and a total daddy's girl. After her father, Sirius, was arrested, her whole family began to fall apart.

Her brother's constant questioning about his dad became too hard to avoid. Her mother had a hard time with his uncanny resemblance to their dad. Since her mother was having many breakdowns after the loss of her husband, Artemis' Uncle Preston felt it was best to take the children for a while. After several months of living with Preston and Emmeline, her Aunt Mary showed up at their house one day, begging to have Artemis. She said she needed something to give her a purpose. Mary was taking care of Marlene but was also struggling herself, needing any sort of joy in her life. Mary also knew that Marlene missed her children terribly.

Personality and Traits

Artemis is a child at heart, always running free as a bird without a care about the rest of the world. She would always pick out her own outfits when she was young, going out in public wearing tutus and costumes. As she gets older she has an edgy style; wearing a leather jacket and band tees like her dad.

She loves to act goofy, especially at home with her family. She is totally the wild child in her family, doing outrageous

She loves being outside, walking around barefoot in the grass or sand. She enjoys artistic things like crafts, but mostly painting even though she isn’t very good at it. Her family calls her pieces “abstract”.

As a child she loved the ugly animals like toads, noticing how everyone else found them revolting, she felt that they deserved love too.

Artemis, unlike her brother, always felt like her daddy was going to come back, even though she was told he was dead. Something in her gut told her he was alive and wanted them.
